Learn to use HPC via an interactive environment – Galaxy
Take part in a free Galaxy online training event – a global Galaxy course on March 14-18.
The course will take place simultaneously all over the world, during which expert support through Slack channel will be provided. Lectures will be pre-recorded, so everyone will be able to learn the topics at their own pace. Registered users will have remote access to the Galaxy environment.
Galaxy is an internet platform for biomedical data (for example, genome, proteomics) processing. It offers a variety of tools that are easy to use without specific knowledge of Linux command lines and HPC system. Training is offered for beginners, as well as for advanced Galaxy users.
These topics will be offered this year:
- Introduction to Galaxy
- RNS sequencing
- Single cell RNS
- Protemics
- New: SARS-CoV-2 genomics
- New: Training for Galaxy admins
More information about the Galaxy training event can be found here.
Galaxy platform and tools is available also on RTU HPC computing resources: https://galaxy.hpc.rtu.lv, therefore this course is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the Galaxy possibilities and most suitable tools in order to start using them for your research or studies. Please contact RTU HPC center about the access to https://galaxy.hpc.rtu.lv by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
Information support in Latvia is provided by RTU HPC Center and HPC Competence Center project (EuroCC) in Latvia.
