On 1st of March – supercomputer breakfast for Vidzeme region SME’s

Less than 20% of SME’s know what a supercomputer is. Less than 5% of SME’s know how they can attract investments and overtake competitors using a supercomputer, according to the observations of the Latvian HPC competence Centre “SuperS”, working with Latvian and European entrepreneurs daily.

Therefore, on 1st March at at 9:00 a.m., Vidzeme region SME’s are invited to Cesis, the Cesis branch of the University of Latvia (Lt. Catherine Street 2) where supercomputer breakfast will take place.

Knowledge of supercomputers (or HPC, from English High-Performance Computing) provides an advantage to innovate in-house, save resources, and become more powerful and efficient with today’s fast-changing digital capabilities.

The Latvian HPC competence Centre “SuperS” invites Vidzeme entrepreneurs to a “supercomputer breakfast” in Cesis, where they can listen to expert stories in one hour:

• What is a supercomputer

• The possibilities for its application;

• What is the pathway to high-tech deployment;

• Where to look for support to start using supercomputers.

The bussiness breakfast in Vidzeme in the five regional events cycle is organized by the HPC competence Centre in Latvia “SuperS” within the framework of the EuroCC 2 project “National Centers of Competence within EuroHPC” (EuroCC 2) in co-operation with the RTU HPC Centre and the LU Institute of Numerical Modelling.

The event is part of Vidzeme Innovation week 2024 events.
